Learning Objectives: Munch Kids will learn how to listen to their heart and how to talk about their feelings.

Tell your Munch Kid you are going to learn about feelings and how to listen to your heart.
Play the Learning How to Use Your Words | Feelings | Social-Emotional Development | Words are Magic with Lulu and Much.

Have your Munch Kid put their hands over their heart. Have them take a big deep breath and have them listen to their heart. After another deep breath ask your Munch Kid how their heart is feeling. Give them key words: Happy, Sad, Calm.
Let your Munch Kid know that sometimes our hearts are happy, sometimes they are sad, sometimes the are angry and sometimes they are scared. Whatever their heart is feeling, it is always okay.
Ask your Munch Kid why their heart is feeling that way.
After your Munch Kid answers begin to put your hand on your heart and talk to your Munch Kid about how your heart is feeling too!

Check in with your Munch Kid throughout the day. If you see them feeling a BIG FEELING, ask them: Are you feeling a BIG FEELING right now?
Give your Munch Kid support and reassurance. Ask them how their heart is feeling and why their heart is feeling that way?
Ask your Munch Kid what they need. If they are happy, maybe they want to share something with you? If they are sad, maybe they need an extra hug?

Enrichment: Have advanced Munch Kids draw different emotions. Ask them to draw what you look like when your heart is mad, when your heart is happy…
Support: Always support your Munch Kid in anyway. Remember to always ask them what they need.

Watch Lulu and Munch episode again and see if they can identity how Lulu and Munch are feeling.
Display Munch Kid’s drawings on the wall.
